Volunteers

Sharing your time and talents

"As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God"
(1 Pet. 4:10)

(May 15 2021) we need your help. We are very short on ushers to help greet and seat people for the weekend Masses. It’s easy but requires time, typically 30 minutes prior and 20 minutes after Mass. Our goal is to have enough people on the team so that each person only works once a month or once every two months. It’s a misperception to think we have enough now. The few we do have are working every single weekend. At this point we do not have enough volunteers to support overflow seating and therefore may have to turn people away if we are at capacity inside the Church. Your help would provide a more welcoming environment for all who want to attend Mass in person. Signing up and training are easy.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at St. Thomas Parish.

The Mass Assistant role is a short term volunteer opportunity as we transition through the phases of reopening the church for worship. To view a list of the weekend Mass duties, click HERE (revised April 8, 2021)

All volunteers must take two trainings:

   1. Coronavirus Volunteer training found HERE

   2. Bloodborne Pathogens video training found HERE.

After watching these videos, please contact Lorrie Conway at lorrie@stthomascamas.org to verify you have completed the training.

To complete the process of signing up to volunteer, please fill out and sign the Volunteer Protective Equipment Checklist (B-3). Download the form HERE, and return the completed form to the office via email (lorrie@stthomascamas.org) or drop it off through the mail slot at the parish office. Duties cannot begin until this form is turned in.

Once again, THANK YOU for your time.
